Your Roadmap to Becoming a “3rd Force” Professional

Choosing a professional path in Tax Law and Forensic Accounting is a bold step toward becoming an elite defender of financial integrity in Ghana. However, we know that the journey from applicant to “Chartered” status comes with many questions.

Whether you are a fresh graduate or a seasoned professional, this guide clears the path for your enrollment at CITLFA.

What exactly is the “3rd Force”?

Traditional accounting focuses on reporting; traditional law focuses on litigation. The “3rd Force” is the specialized intersection where investigation meets the law. A CITLFA professional doesn’t just look at balance sheets—they look through them to identify fraud, ensure tax compliance, and provide expert testimony in the courtroom.

Finding Your Entry Point

The most common question we hear is: “Where do I start?” At CITLFA, we meet you where you are.

  • The Foundation: If you have an SHS diploma or are just starting, Level I is your gateway.
  • The Fast Track: Professionals with degrees in Accounting or Law (LLB/B.Com) can often skip the basics through our Exemption Policy. We value your prior hard work—our Council reviews transcripts to ensure you don’t repeat what you already know.
Balancing Career and Ambition

We know our students are busy. That is why CITLFA is built for the working professional in mind. Our courses are delivered through a hybrid of weekend classes and a robust digital portal. You don’t have to choose between your job and your future—you can master Cyber Security and Tax Litigation while maintaining your 9-to-5.

The Exemption Policy: Honoring Your Prior Expertise

We recognize the hard work you’ve already put into your career. If you hold a Degree in Accounting, an LLB, or are a member of another chartered body (like ICA or ACCA), you may be eligible for exemptions. This allows you to fast-track your journey to becoming a Chartered Forensic Legal Accountant.
